Astrantia major, 28 seeds
Masterwort is an interesting clumping perennial that is slowly gaining visibility and popularity among shade gardeners. Native to Europe, Astrantia major is a fast grower quickly forming a bushy rosette of leaves. From spring onwards, it starts to bloom. The inch-wide, pink-tipped white, strangely-exotically-pincushion-like flowers are borne in profusion, creating a very pretty, "lacy" effect. Hardy from zone 5 onwards. 2 feet tall and wide. Full sun to part shade. Regular water. Rich, well-drained soil. Hard-to-find seeds, harvested 08/2021.
