Ipomoea nil 'Blue Suede Shoes', 10 seeds
This started out as a mutation form of the totally blue, vigorous-blooming Hatsu Arashi (First Autumn Storm) Japanese Morning Glory. In its first year, it was roundish-blue with a definite white picotee edge, highlighted by a pink halo leading to a white throat. Returned true now for three years and hence we are giving it a new name -- Blue Suede Shoes. Green, tri-lobed as per its parents and grandparents. Pictured here compared to Blue Thunder with a darkstar in the center (another mutation form Japanese Morning Glory) and Seuin. 8 feet or more. Full sun for earliest bloom. Poor soil. Moderate water. Exclusive seeds, harvested 09/2014 - 11/2014. Open-pollinated.
Our website for actively-growing plants and cuttings (eclecticplants.ecrater.com) is now re-opened starting 6/2/2014.
