Cornus florida WHITE FOLD-UP BRACTS, 5 seeds
While you may have seen the white and pink Dogwood Trees before, chances are that you have never seen one as amazing as this. When I passed by it by chance in Spring, it was covered with gazillions of bizarre white flowers with "fold-up" bracts that reminds me somewhat of ballerinas with both arms raised and fingers interlocked above their heads, although there are also a few whose "folds" seem to have lost grip and fallen down, giving them the normal dogwood bloom shape. I thought it curious enough for me to return to that place a second time during winter, and at that point in time, the tree is leafless but all branches bears wonderfully ornamental, bright red, oval fruits. So here are the seeds from that plant for you, :-). I am pretty sure this is Cornus florida, possibly one that is just as rare as the true Magic Dogwood (Cornus florida subspecies urbiniana) which has the same kind of weird flowers. Full sun. 8 feet tall, 4 feet wide. Fresh exclusive seeds, harvested 10/2022. Long germination time, please make sure you reseach the web and are up-to-the-task before buying.
