A hardy and truly lovely tuberous herbaceous perennial for the shade gardens, Begonia grandis 'Alba' forms a clump of obliquely-ovate, olive-green foliage. Handsome and bold in form, it bears pendent clusters of delicate-looking white flowers on long-lasting sprays appear from late summer to early fall. Spreading easily in a shady spot, it mixes well with hostas and ferns. Hardy from zone 6 onwards. 2 feet tall and wide. Part to full shade. Rich, well-drained soil. Regular watering. Hard-to-find, fresh seeds, harvested 12/2023.
