Mirabilis jalapa 'Kaleidoscope Yellow-Fuchsia Swirls'/'Broken Colors Yellow-Fuchsia Swirls', 15 seeds
Mirabilis jalapa is a perennial often grown as an annual as it will bloom first year from seeds. A delicious, sweet, orange-blossom scent is cast on the air every afternoon as its trumpet-shaped flowers open. This rare Kaleidoscope selection features the striped flowers that so enraptured past generations of gardeners as the stripes are very variable in colors and patterns. Some are yellow splashed/speckled with fuchsia, some totally fuchsia, some totally yellow, some half yellow half fuchsia and so on. To top it, all variations can bloom on the same plant! If that's not enough, the scented blossoms attract hummingbirds by day and moths by night. Hardy from zone 7 onwards. 4 feet tall, 3 feet wide. Full sun to part shade. Any garden soil. Moderate water. Fresh seeds, harvested 10/2020.
