Salvia glechomifolia is a rarely seen native perennial of Mexico is a small, delightful salvia, slightly creeping in habit but still suitable for a container. Attractive purplish-blue flowers with two white marks on the lower lip appear from summer onwards, and in warmer zones such as California, the bloom period continues till early autumn. Small, somewhat triangular leaves with serrated edges. Hardy from zone 8 onwards. 1 to 1/2 feet tall, 2 feet wide. Full sun to part shade. Well-drained garden soils. Regular water. Hard-to-find seeds, harvested 07/2023.
