Salvia coahuilensis, 10 seeds
Salvia coahuilensis is an evergreen perennial that is often mistaken as either the Autumn Sage (Salvia greggii) or Royal Purple Autumn Sage (Salvia muelleri). And that's really understandable because its shiny, linear, olive-green, aromatic leaves smell very similar to those of S. greggii, only smaller and the plant more compact. Like the Royal Purple Autumn Sage, it also blooms over a very long season from early spring till winter, its small flowers being more intensely dark, beet-purple than those of S. muelleri which are more 'violetty'. Hardy from zone 8 onwards. 2 feet tall, 4 feet wide. Full sun. Well-drained garden soils. Drought tolerant when established. Rare exclusive seeds, harvested 06/2017 & 09/2017.
