Salvia regla, 10 seeds
The Regal Mountain Sage is an extremely handsome, rare deciduous perennial native to the Coahuila and Durango area of Mexico. Salvia regla blooms from early summer onwards till frost. The long spikes of vivid, glowing, orangy-red, large flowers with orangy calyxes are produced in such masses that the display is nothing less than spectacular. Often times, the plant literally bends to the ground with the weight of its flowers. Lush, deltoid, deeply veined leaves. Hardy from zone 9 onwards. 6 feet tall, 4 feet wide. Full sun to light shade. Regular watering. Usually available in plant/cuttings form, hard-to-find seeds, harvested 11/2022.
