Then, the precious, velvety, ruby-red, tubular flowers of Salvia elegans are smothered with hummingbirds and butterflies. Year round, passerbys will be seeking opportunites to 'accidentally brush' against the tender, serrated leaves which exude the refreshing smell of pineapples when bruised! :-) Hardy from zone 8 onwards. 4 feet tall, 3 feet wide.
