Tithonia rotundifolia 'Torch', 30 seeds
The best butterfly-attracting plant in our opinion, the Mexican Sunflower is an easy-to-grow heirloom annual that blooms from summer through frost. In spite of its common name, it has a bushy habit (rather than a singular stalk like most sunflowers) and bears tons of the most electrifying orange daisy flowers. All sorts of insects and birds love it, we noted hummingbirds, bees, hover flies and at least 5 varieties of butterflies visiting it daily. Soft velvety foliage. 4 feet tall and wide. Full sun. Well-drained soil. Regular watering. Fresh seeds, harvested 11/2024.
