A much beloved Western native, this is our go-to plant for shady areas. Featuring delicate, blue-green, lobed foliage forming a clump, it bursts into bloom from late spring onwards. Tall stalks of pendent, yellow-red, intricate-looking spurred flowers are favorites of hummingbirds and bees. Hardy from zone 4 onwards. Part shade. 1 1/2 feet tall and wide. Adaptable to most soils.Fresh seeds, harvested 07/2017.
Our website for actively-growing plants and cuttings (eclecticplants.ecrater.com) is now re-opened starting 6/2/2014.
