Ipomoea purpurea 'Crimson Rambler', 20 seeds
Like Vickie Harding, this gorgeous annual twining vine came along as a weed in our new yard, growing on gravel where nothing else is growing and no water nor care has ever been applied intentionally. Without any climbing structure to hold it up, Crimson Rambler rambled everywhere, entangling on itself and even making friends with our neighbour's roses. Burst into blooms in mid-spring and what a pretty picture of bright pink flowers atop of dark green heart-shaped leaves. Totally effortless and amazing. 10 feet or more. Full sun for earliest bloom. Poor soil. Moderate water. Fresh seeds, harvested 09/2014. Open-pollinated.
