Salvia reptans 'West Texas', 10 seeds
The upright form of Cobalt Sage has not been introduced as a garden subject, hence it is a perennial more often seen in botanical gardens. This rarely available tuberous Salvia has an unusual habit of growth, producing many handsome, thin stems with needle-thin leaves. Starting from late summer onwards, these are topped with flowers that are a breathtaking deep cobalt blue. Hardy from zone 6 onwards. 2 feet tall and wide. Full sun. Any well-drained garden soils. Drought tolerant when established. Fresh hard-to-find seeds, harvested 10/2024.
