Parochetus communis, 10 seeds
This rare tuberous Himalayan is a wonderful plant for the container, easy to germinate and flowers first year from seeds. A prostrate perennial, Parochetus communis covers itself with bright, cobalt-blue, pea-like flowers during the cooler months of the year. When not in bloom, the plant itself is attractive thanks to its lush green, three-part leaves with a distinctive white vein. Then you could be forgiven for thinking that it is a clover, hence its name Blue Oxalis. Hardy from zone 8 onwards. 6 inches tall, 1 feet wide. Full sun. Average soil. Regular watering. Fresh seeds, harvested 09/2016.
