Impatiens meruensis, 6 seeds
This is one of the parents of my other Impatiens (I. digitata x meruensis). I really don't know much about it since I am the only source and there is not much info on the web. Based on my own observation, the shape, bright-cherry pink color and size of the flower is very similar to the hybrid. The color and texture of its leaf is also very similar to the hybrid. The only thing that is visibly different as far as I can tell is that the blooms of this one is always single-spur. Blooming period is from summer through fall here in California. Hardy from zone 9 onwards. 2 feet tall and wide. Part shade. Rich, moist but well-drained soil. Regular watering. Exclusive, fresh seeds, harvested 03/2011.
